Full Description & Specification
The Powerpack HD is a compact powered assistance unit designed to attach to most manual wheelchairs, providing powered support for the person pushing the chair. Once fitted, it transforms a standard wheelchair into a powered-assist system, reducing physical effort when moving a user over longer distances or challenging terrain.
Designed and manufactured in the UK, the Powerpack HD is built for ease of use, portability, and reliability. It attaches and detaches in seconds, making it simple to transfer between wheelchairs or remove for transport. Its lightweight construction allows it to be stored in a car boot, or taken on public transport or flights, supporting greater independence and mobility.
The system is controlled via a simple thumb-operated control, allowing the attendant to regulate speed comfortably while walking behind the chair. It is particularly useful for navigating hills, ramps, uneven surfaces, and longer outdoor journeys.
The Powerpack HD is capable of supporting higher user weights compared to standard models, making it suitable for a wide range of users. Despite its power, it remains compact and easy to handle.
